NEWER EDIT I have put 7 hours into DQ4 in Japanese these last few days. Do not understand a word but it looks and sounds fantastic. It is like soup for my soul.

EDIT: Until hell freezes over or an English version gets made, here is my suggested way to play DQ4 on Playstation:

Is there one? I have looked a lot and can't find it. I am about to play through the PS1 version without a translation it looks so nice. There are notable and worthy differences between the PS1 and DS version:

PS1 - Music and graphics sound / look more crisp, enemies remain stationary until their attack animation, and more traditional battle menus.

DS - Music and graphics sound / look more dull, enemies are constantly bobbling around -- really annoying, and added non-traditional tacky battle menus / tacky damage messages.

If anyone knows of an English patch for the PS1 version please share, it is the definitive version for me =)
